Covid and other unforeseen Events
As things stand we are confident that the race will go ahead on 26th June at 8.45am. However, in the event that progress with Covid is not as anticipated or other unknown factors come into play we may be forced to adapt the event or postpone it. We are asking entrants to provide an estimated time and also names of anyone they intend to run with. This means that if we are required to start the race in small groups we will be in a better position to do so, starting the faster runners first. In that eventuality the event is likely to start earlier.
In the event that we have to postpone the event runners will be offered the opportunity to transfer to the next running of the event (and indeed this will be the default position) or alternatively will be able to choose a £10 refund or to donate their whole fee (less the EntryCentral administration charge to our chosen local charity).”
Awards: Medal, t-shirt, winners’ prizes, goody bag
Bag storage: Yes, supervised
Parking: Several nearby public car parks
Notes: The aim of the route is to showcase Gloucester so it passes the Cathedral, through the Docks and Gloucester Quays and there is a run along the canal towpath. Given the intention of taking in the sites it does twist in the odd place, but is still a fast course. The event is very much a community event re-established by Davies and Partners Solicitors following the decision of commercial organisers not to continue with it. Any surplus will be given to Gloucester charities.
On-the-day entry: No
Minimum age: 15
Entry cost: £21.00 affiliated, £23.00 unaffiliated plus Entry Central Administration fee
Closing date: Monday 6th June 2022 at 12pm or when we reach 950 participants, whichever is reached first.
